Hippos In Tanks: mixtape

We asked our favorite labels to curate a new serie of mixtapes. “What do you want us to hear?” is the only guideline.
This 10th episode is made by the Los Angeles based label Hippos In Tanks.
Hippos In Tanks is run by Barron Machat and Travis Woolsey and is barely one year old. But 2010 has been quite a busy year for the very young label since they’ve put out records by White Car, Laurel Halo, Games, Von Haze, and D’Eon.
This ethereal and cinematic mix they did for us is described by its directors Travis Woolsey and Barron Machat as: “Two drifter discover a pair of sunglasses that allow them to wake up to the fact that aliens have taken over the Earth.”
